January Enduro practice.

We have run our enduro practice. All seemed to go well and have learned some shortcomings in our planning. This was a great practice for when we run a compitition enduro at a later date.

Results are including time added for incomplete laps and pit stops as well as weight penalties.

The race was certianly won and lost in the pits but after 100 laps of racing the first 3 teams were just seconds apart.

A big thanks to the people who helped out to make this practice run. As always this is apreciated by the club.

Visitors Memebership is now available

The Mildura Kart club now has a Visitors Membership available for all AKA licence holders with their home mebership at other AKA affiliated club.

Visitors membership is available for just $40.00 and any children under the age of 18 for an aditional $10 each.

Come & Try day, January 2012

Our COME & TRY DAY was a huge success. We had over 30 drivers come and experience motor racing in its purest form and have a drive of the VKA’s karts. Most of these drivers were of the Cadet/Midget/Junior age, which is fantastic as this is age group the club is focused on to increase the participation rates at the club.

A big thanks to all those club members (and wives) that helped out at both the come and try day and the working bee. I will not start naming anyone as I will no doubt miss someone, but to those who helped direct the karts all day, those cleaned up the salt bush and also those who were out there on Saturday cleaning up the facility, it was a massive effort, well done.

A big thank you to the Broken Hill members that came down for this event. A great day/evening was had by all.
After the first round we had a rain interrupted session which caused some delays, while waiting for the rain to clear. Once racing resumed under lights, the conditions were exciting and as the night went on the track dried out and by the finals we were back to fully dry conditions. This made for an interesting meeting, chasing kart setup and searching for the quickest race lines as they changed thruout the races.
I would also like to thank the lovely ladies that ran the canteen for us and also those who helped out during the meeting, starter, lap scorers, flagies, stewards and other officials. With out this support our race meetings could not happen.

The first round of the 2012 Championship seasion will be our January 28th club day, running under lights Saturday afternoon / evening.
Keep this date free and lets start the seasion off with a great turn out for Round 1 of the seasion.
lets try to get as many members as possable to attend this race meeting to help make the 2012 a great year of racing and a great year for our club.
Visitors are also welcome to attend or you can become a Visiting member wich will allow you to accumulate points for the championship seasion.

CMS and Pre-entries

Pre entries close on the CM;S system on wednesday night. After this no further pre entries can be taken.

The CMS site now has the ability for you to view the pre-enrty list for any race meeting accross austraila. https://app.austkarting.com.au/aka

Pre-entrie to race meetings on this system now only take seconds to do, even I was supprised how quick it was and my entry showed up straight away on the system. No more entering your tx number, class, race number ect each time. Once it has been done once, all the infomation is there ready for next time. If you need to change some of your infomation, this is also very quick and easy to do.

Please use the pre-entry system on the CMS website and while you are there take advantage of being able to view results, laptimes and pre-entries list.

We would ask that if it is possable, if everyone could pre-enter for our race meetings, as this makes it much easier for our officials on race day and far less hassel for everyone.
